  • PCB size: 42.50x72.00mm
This is the third generation of the 8-channel opto-isolator board designed for input expansion over the I2C bus. Each input accepts 15–30 VDC, making it suitable for large mechanical contact switching devices such as power relays, power buttons, and power switches.

The board uses a PCF8574 I2C controller chip, supports a bus speed of up to 100 kHz, and operates with a bus voltage of 3.3–5.5 VDC. It features three jumpers for address configuration, allowing up to 8 boards to be connected on a single bus. A single I2C bus can accommodate up to 16 boards when using both PCF8574 and PCF8574A chips.

In this version, the board does not include onboard I2C bus pull-up resistors or an interrupt pull-up resistor. These pull-up resistors must be connected externally to the I2C bus.

The board can be mounted on a DIN-rail PCB holder, which can then be securely attached to a tray.

The difference between the I2C-IN830MxV3 and I2C-IN830MAxV3 lies in the I2C controller chip used. The I2C-IN830MxV3 uses the PCF8574, while the I2C-IN830MAxV3 uses the PCF8574A. The key distinction between the PCF8574 and PCF8574A is their I2C bus addressing.

To prevent damage to the board, do not plug or unplug I2C cables while the power supply is on. Always turn off the power supply before connecting or disconnecting I2C cables.
