7SEG5R is a red color LED display board, 5 digits 7-segment display. The LED digits are capable of display numbers and limited punctuation marks. The MC14489 chip is used as the display controller, LED driver and serial interface. Messages longer than 5 digits can be cascaded up to 6 display boards. The serial interface is synchronous communication with 3 signals required. The 7SEG5R unit includes the MC14489 chip within it.
